Travel Protocols

Updated: May 5, 2023

The health and well-being of our guests, staff, and island community are our number one priority. Please carefully review the following travel protocols to ensure the safety of all. We’re actively maintaining this page with the most up to date information.  Full travel protocols can be viewed here.

Pre-Trip & Arrival:

Prior to Departing for the Bahamas:

VACCINATED & UNVACCINATED TRAVELERS

  1.  Effective 20 September 2022 all travelers (vaccinated or unvaccinated) will no longer be required to submit to pre-travel COVID-19 testing to enter the country.

  2. Effective 19 June 2022 all travelers will no longer need to apply for a Bahamas Travel Health Visa in order to enter the country.

  3. Please take any symptoms seriously prior to your arrival here on the island. With at-home COVID testing kits widely available, we highly recommend testing yourself the night before your departure. The health of our staff and on-island community are a top priority here at Soul Fly Lodge and something we take very seriously. We know that missing out on a fishing trip due to sickness sucks but please put the health and well-being of others above all. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter!

Returning Home:

As of 12:01AM ET on June 12, 2022, CDC will no longer require air passengers traveling from a foreign country to the United States to show a negative COVID-19 viral test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before they board their flight.

For more information concerning the CDC requirement: Click Here.

*Soul Fly Lodge will help advise as to how best navigate traveling to and from the Bahamas but ultimately it is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that the proper protocols have been followed.

Lodge Protocols:

To ensure COVID safety while at Soul Fly Lodge, we will be implementing various enhanced cleaning and safety protocols. Most of these will be similar to what you have seen implemented at home and will include:

  • Increased cleaning and sanitizing of all public spaces and high traffic areas with an emphasis on regular disinfecting of all high-touch surfaces.

  • We encourage staff and guests to be sure to wash hands frequently and practice healthy hygiene.

  • Any symptoms of COVID-19 must be reported to Soul Fly Lodge management immediately.

  • Hand sanitizer stations are available in public spaces/common areas for guests and staff to use.

  • Each guest room will be completely sanitized upon turnover.

  • Guests can specify whether or not they wish for their room to be serviced daily by our housekeeping team, as we understand some may wish to limit all contact to a minimum.

  • Guests will notify Soul Fly Lodge management if anyone in their party becomes ill within 48 hours of their trip completion.

If you have any questions about this information, please feel free to contact us at any time!
